Earphone Jack Plug for LG Nexus 5 D820

I got my Nexus 5 a bit wet with sea water, and a drop entered the jack connector. I opened it and let it dry for a day then it worked again but the jack became very sensitive and it would stop playing (as if you disconnect it) if you barely moved or touched the cable... very annoying. So I bought this connector to replace it, and I was expecting to have to solder it.. but no it's a super easy drop-in replacement! Just open the back lid, remove 5 screws holding the plastic cover (top part), remove the plastic cover, pull out the old jack (mine was indeed a bit corroded on some contacts), clean the contacts on the PCB with alcohol and a Qtip, then place the new connector. That's it!!! Note: there is a glue pad underneath the jack that's why it won't come out easily maybe. After you place the new one press down hard for a few seconds, so that it adheres to the glue pad again. Since I broke a clip from the back cover when removing it, I also purchased the item SKU# MBRPLG265 which is exactly the same as orignal. That was my first order with Parts4Repair and overall I'm super happy: great price and top quality products.
