It was relatively easy to disassemble the g2, my proximity sensor had broken, this was a a fairly priced drop-in replacement. Nothing more than declipping the old sensor from the motherboard and fitting and clipping this one in, now both proximity and light-level sensing work again. I can happily keep using my phone with full functionality
